Our Story
Crafted with intention
For over three decades, Theodore Alexander has made furniture the slow way — by hand, from honest materials, to be lived with for a lifetime.
We believe a home is built slowly, from pieces that earn their place. Not the most decorated room, but the most considered — furniture that grows quietly more beautiful with every passing year.

The Beginning
A workshop, and a refusal to rush
We started with a simple, stubborn idea: that furniture should be made to last generations, not seasons. That meant choosing the harder path — solid timber over shortcuts, joinery over glue, patience over pace.
Decades later, little has changed. Our makers still work to the millimetre, and still ask the same question of every piece: will this still feel honest in thirty years?

The Material
Honest materials, beautifully aged
We are drawn to materials that improve with use — leather that softens, oak that warms, bronze that earns a patina no factory can fake. Honesty, for us, is letting a material do what it naturally wants to do.
Nothing is coated to stay frozen in time. Every surface is chosen to record a life gracefully — marks, light and all.
