HIGH POINT — Partnering with a third-party investor, luxury home furnishings brand Theodore Alexander will open its first retail location on Long Island in the spring of 2025.
First reported by sister publication Long Island Business News, the High Point-based furniture maker has 41,393 square feet of retail space above the Whole Foods Market in Kimco Realty’s Munsey Park Plaza shopping center at 2101 Northern Blvd. in Manhasset. The space was formerly occupied by a Bed Bath & Beyond store that closed in 2021.

While the company is dipping its toe into retail waters, Teplitz said Theodore Alexander isn’t taking this venture lightly and will work with its long -term, loyal retail and design partners. "We’re not moving away from our current distribution. We value our relationships with retailers and designers and we want to continue that as well," he said.
Teplitz said, internationally, Theodore Alexander has large galleries inside stores, but this will be its first exclusive store. He said the company is looking forward to introducing itself to consumers on Long Island.
"We’re thrilled," he said. "It’s a great way to showcase the brand and start educating the consumer about who we are and what we offer."
